These earrings are created using hand formed Sussex Clay before being painted (using a mixture of underglazes) and fired. Varying colours are applied to the front and sides, with the rear painted with a metallic silver. I have imprinted them with little butterflies to add texture and interest :)
The paints used are all second hand and I fire the clay only when there is spare space in a colleagues kiln (thanks to the Crafty Potter!!).
They are hung on silver and the ear hooks are made from stamped sterling silver.
